Skippered cruises Back to the Top
Skippered cruises on Tarporley are available to all kinds of groups from charities, clubs and schools to businesses and private parties (maximum 12 passengers). Not sure where to go? - Check out possible routes, view maps etc.
We especially welcome charitable groups of the less privileged or vulnerable and those from every section of London & Camden’s multi-ethnic society.
More than 12 passengers? Please contact us as we can often arrange extra boat[s] and increase capacity.
Tarporley is a 1937 working boat which was converted to run in London as Camden’s community narrowboat in 1972. She is an historic vessel and can only be handled safely with skill and experience; she is therefore not available to hire on a self-steer basis.
A narrowboat trip with a difference! Back
to the Top
When you take a trip along the Regents Canal on the historic narrowboat 'Tarporley', you don't just have to sit and watch the scenery go by - you can explore the boat, steer and help work the locks too - if you're feeling energetic. We take a maximum of 12 passengers, with crew members on hand to answer any questions about the canal, the local scenery and wildlife. We will also tell you about the boat’s fascinating history if that interests you. You never know who you might meet . . . .
